13” tall X 3.5” wide

The appendages and head are urethane resin, cast from original sculpts, and sewn to the cloth body. Each face is carefully painted using acrylic paint. The body is hand sewn and filled with 100% cotton batting. This design choice gives these smaller dolls a 'rag doll' aesthetic.

The body of the doll was used as a canvas for exploring mark-making with paint and abstract designs. Something I have never tried before but I really approve of the outcome.

The addition of gold, white, and black knotted threads is not incidental. Knot-making has a long history in witchcraft, mythology, and folklore where tying knots serves to bind or release, create or destroy, depending on the intention.
