Bone Dolls

Each piece was made from recycled bones that have been gifted to me or came from Thanksgiving dinner. They are fashioned together using apoxie sculpt. Some have a wire hanger on the back so they hang on the wall, some are mounted to a wood base so they are more of a figurine.

Bone Doll

This lady is fashioned from the remnants of Thanksgiving dinner. Her head, hands, and torso are turkey bones and her skirt is gossamer netting.

She is attached to a wooden base. She is 10.5 inches tall.

Dapper Bone Doll

This dapper piece is made from the remnants of Thanksgiving dinner. His head, hands, and legs are turkey bones and his clothing is hand sewn from vintage fabrics.

The armor pieces jutting from underneath his frill is a dried "snail foot". This is a membrane that snails use to seal the bottom of their 'hatch' when they retreat inside their shell.

Bone Dry

The first bone doll that I made. Her torso is fashioned from Thanksgiving Dinner leftovers. She wears a necklace of tiny mouse bones that were gifted to me. She was made in 2011.

The head was sculpted with polymer clay and then cast in resin. The surface has been treated with a crackle finish. It has a hanger on the back so it can be hung on the wall.
