"When the original
or first doll is sculpted, assembled, costumed and finished
by the artist and this doll is never made again, it is called
a one-of-a-kind doll. One-of-a-kind dolls are almost always
entirely designed and handcrafted by the creating artist."-

An Aviary is a large enclosure for confining
birds. In the Strange Dolls' Aviary you will find birds that
have become so comfortable living outside of their natural habitat
that they have started to adopt humanoid traits and social strata.

Blood Ties Prints
Blood Ties is a year long collaboration
between two artists that prominently feature bloody bits in
their work. The stories of Beth Robinsons Strange Dolls
come alive in S.Vogelsangs photography while exploring
their interactions with the living through the ties of blood.
The show covers a full year of exploring and capturing Strange
Dolls in environments that carry on the suspicion that dolls
are inhabited by some spirit, whether malevolent or not is up
to you to decide.
